I am not a lawyer, and I am not speaking for IBM here in this forum.
But: I can read, in the EWS (this is the 1992 license currently attached to the NetRexx Program) in articles 3 and 4 that we are granted ('may'), under this license, merge it in another program, and explicitly, that you may distribute it, as long as you: download it yourself, and include the EWS license file in your distribution. This should clear up any question of whether it is includeable in plugins. If we really want to nitpick, and which lawyer doesn't, the install procedure should extract it from the original file to merge the Program into another program to exactly comply with the license text. best regards, René Jansen. That is the main thing blocking NetRexxDE being distributed through Plugin Central right now. I'm adding code to download/install NetRexxC.jar automatically if not present at load time. Initially this change was due to the jar being already distributed by Kermit's NetRexxScript plugin but I see now that it could save some trouble license-wise. Now maybe this will have to wait a bit if I start coding some simple installer for NetRexx itself... --- Saludos / Kind regards.
