Hi All,
Just wanted to announce availability this new release fixing the heap issue on JRE/SDK 1.6 update 18 and former NetRexxJe 1.0.2b. Please bear in mind this is a quick and dirty hot fix release. Some inconsitencies might remain at bundled docs, readme, etc. Anyone using NetRexxJe is advised to either updating to latest packages at http://kenai.com/projects/netrexx-misc/downloads/directory/NetRexxDE or not updating JRE/SDK beyond 1.6 update 17. Please let me know of any platforms or configurations on which the fix wont work if any. Jerry? Is it working on Linux? -- Saludos / Regards, David Requena -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi David,
just Downloaded your latest NetRexxDE.zip, and will install it and give it a try very soon. I will of course keep you intformed of miy findings. I'm running under Windows XP, however. Tom. PS: Questions: 1.) I just saw some mentioning at kanai.com that this page will be closed. Is this true? 2.) When not, how can I mecome a registered member of KANAI? Tom. =============================================== David Requena schrieb: > > Hi All, > > Just wanted to announce availability this new release fixing the heap > issue on JRE/SDK 1.6 update 18 and former NetRexxJe 1.0.2b. > Please bear in mind this is a quick and dirty hot fix release. Thanks for testing Thomas.
Issue was present in Windows too as it's caused by a change to jvm hard coded defaults. I expect it to affect Mac OS too. To your questions: 1 - Yes, oficial word came today. Sadly Oracle is closing kenai.com as part of the Sun merger. It's been a hell of a timing also. One night I put last touches to project's site, next morning hosting service announces it's closing doors in 2 months. I'm currently looking for a replacement service. Fortunately there's no shortage of OSS project hosting facilities. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_open_source_software_hosting_facilities 2 - Just go to http://kenai.com/people/signup and fill out the form. If you're interested in joining netrexx-misc, please do so and let me a note. Existing members will be brought to the new website when the project moves. 2010/2/3 Thomas Schneider <[hidden email]> > Hi David, > > just Downloaded your latest NetRexxDE.zip, and will install it and give it > a try very soon. > I will of course keep you intformed of miy findings.
