I hate to ask this question: But do we have backups of the NetRexx stuff on Kenai to reconstruct? OR, are we like the local 'Research' University with the back-ups in the same basement room which was flooded by some spring rains a few years back.

1.) I did meet Oracle representatives, as well as Hewlett Packard ones, as well as IBM ones, yesterday. 2:) Oracle does have a so called 'MainFrame attack group', located in Munich. The purpose of this Oracle center is to get IBM curtomsers to move from IBM to Oracle. 3.) Whil'st IBM, worldwide, is conecntrating more and mor on SERVICES, Oracle has out-sourced all migration and services to EXTERNAL Companies, like, for instance to ATOS origin (formerly a daughter of SIEMENS, Germany) 4.) Hewlett Packard maintains an own Porting/Mgration center there in Madrid, Spain, and, in conrast to Oracle (and IBM) do offer a full migration center, not relying to external resources (as Oracle does) 5.) Oracle does now OWN Sun. 6.) Every of these 3 providers's, as IBM, Oracle, and also HP is too big to fail. 7.) Both HP, and Oraclem, and also recently IBM (Austria) did express great interest fo any and all migration tool's available. Having said that: 1.) You (Anybody) will never succeed to STOP the Java TRAIN, as Java is currently the only platform which does not require RE-COMPILATION for any new platform. 2.) The Java VM architecture is PLATFORM independent, which Kermit Kiser has proven by implementing a smart handy application solely in NetRexx. 3.) NetRexx is, no doubt, my prefered language, excellently designed. 4.) When I'm coming up (sometimes on this group) with suggestions how to make NetRexx even more powerful: I'm simply submitting my personal feelings. No matter to fjight, Chip Davies, *please* Having said that: Full Stop. From sunny Vienna, Austria.
