Has anyone else noticed that the "eval" engine for NetRexx appears not to
be an eval engine at all: It generates classes on the fly and executes
them, and new classes every time it seems. The JavaScript engine is
noticeably faster in, for example, the JSPLikeInRexx example.
Much as I like NetRexx, it sets a bad image.
Are there plans to finish the 'interpret' side of NetRexx in the near
future? BSF is exactly what's needed for lots of GUI programs - a
pluggable macro language. Let's make the macro language of choice NetRexx!
Mike, can any of us here help to get the interpreter going?
