Bug in MS DOS

ThSITC
Hello there,
I'be just, in my trial to release org.netrexx.runtime.compatibilty,
found a *very annoying* BUG in the famous MS DOS:

rename Rey*.nrx Rexx*.nrx

does, as a mattor of fact, *EAT* the first charatcer in the masked
command, and thus

ReyPict.nrx did become Rexxict.nrx (as all other files did)

As this did happen the second time. I fortunately SAVED my diectectory
before.

Now, my question:

Where there to Microsoft may I REPORT this BUG??

I'ts ridiculous when such simple commands fo to work as documented :-)

I'll find a workaround, but I would like to RAISE this issue at the proper
MICROSOFT maintainers.

I've used Windows XP for this simple command (cmd.exe)

Tried no 3 times: everytime an obvious WRONG result!

Or am I already getting Sooo Stupid, what I did miss something <grin> ???.

Thomas.
