It would be really nice if MFC along with someone from the RexxLA could
travel to Santa Clara to speak about NetRexx

The 2011 JVM Language Summit is an open technical collaboration among
language designers, compiler writers, tool builders, runtime engineers,
and VM architects.

We are sharing our experiences as creators of programming languages for
the JVM, and of the JVM itself. We also welcome non-JVM developers on
similar technologies to attend or speak on their runtime, VM, or
language of choice.

What do you think?.

No, I cannot pay for MFC or anyone else´s trip, but I could try emailing
ORCL´s marketing manager or ORCL the guys in charge of the JVM dev.

I was there in Santa Clara, Sun Campus, in September 2008 and have told the gathering about NetRexx and its then thought to be imminent open sourcing. Neal Gafter was there, and asked *every* language representative "but why do you think language X was not used to produce classes in the standard Java class library." It was an enormous pleasure to be able to answer that BigDecimal started its life as NetRexx code.

Yes, I agree that MFC could seize the opportunity to tell all that I was not allowed to tell in 2008, and even more about everything I do not know about NetRexx. I might not be able to go on such a short notice, although I do need a holiday somewhere soon.
