Thomas,
One of the many unfortunate side-effects of cross-posting to multiple discussion
lists is that it allows you to embarrass yourself in front of many more people.
In English, the correct term for the spring holiday is "Easter".
"Easter" is derived from the name of an ancient springtime goddess whose name
translates as "dawn" or "to shine", and whose celebration occurred at the vernal
equinox.
"Eastern" is an adjective representing a direction of ninety degrees or so.
May I suggest a little more Wikipedia and a little less cross-posting?
