to clear the status of SHAP, and possible good follow ups for NetRexx in general.

the University in Dresden does respond.

I didn't pay attention. I thought it was going to all.  Feel free to distribute this.

I don't see any value to approaching the JOP project about NetRexx -- it is just a sideshow for them and doesn't advance their cause.  I've been watching JOP for about 10 years.  As it stands it is thrown together from "proof of principle" pieces  which resembles sausage making.  Prof Shoeberl is trying for serious funding to bring it together.

It is perfectly possible  to adapt JOP as it stands for use with NetRexx, but it will be painful in its current state.  It requires enough hardware knowledge to work with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).  I intend to wait until it shows more signs of viability before attacking it.  But I'm older than you and this may never happen.
