Hi Thomas,

he toolchain that I am using is not very complicated.

I am using xelatex which is part of TexLive 2010 (or later). The makefiles indicate how to run it.

All the executables needed for the makefile are in TexLive, except the rail executable. This is on sourceforge and needed a compile for the Mac. There are TexLive distributions for Mac, Windows, Linux and eComstation, but you might need to compile rails like I did.

The other thing regards the font selection. While some years ago one had the option of using Computer Modern or mess around with pkathsea for days (well there was an inbetween period in which you could choose package Times Roman etc) nowadays xetex and its xelatex sibling can choose anything that is TrueType or OpenType on your system.

For now, I have left everything Times New Roman (I used to have Garamond Premier Plus but both found it distracting for technical texts and assumed other people would not have it).

best regards,

René.

I would stick with Times New Roman. Most International Organizations use it as a standard. (United Nations for one.)

Hi Tim,
   1.) welcome to the ibm-netrexx group :-)
2.) go to www.netrexx.org, section DOWNLOAD, and download the most recent version .jar file from there ...
3.) When intereted in the sources and the work in progress, go to
www.kenai.com, choose an ID and PW, and then subscribe Project NetRexx as a follower.
4.) When you do hve a need to convert 'classic Rexx' to 'NetRexx', go to www.Rexx2Nrx.com, and there you will find the latest publically released version of Rexx2Nrx (which is free).

hope this helps a bit.

Thomas.
