What kind of assistance are you looking for? (Or...was this a general
question to Rene and others heading that effort?) Hello Peter Rupp, & All there,
frankly speaking *nobody* (except me) is *heading* the Rexx2Nrx effort ... I did have very kind assistance from M.F.Cowlishaw and Rene Vincent Jansen in the early stages of the Rexx2Nrx project (back in 2003, as far as I can remember). And also got a *lot* of test-cases from the members of the REXXLA group. What I'm seeking for is somebody to: .. act as a co-author .. interested to HELP ..... building up the necessary SVN repository, if we do decide we do need that ..... performing all of the TEST-cases. ..... and helping to update the home-page www.Rexx2Nrx.com ..... and BUILDING a GUI interface to Kermit Kiser's NetRexxScript, so that Rexx2Nrx can be invoked for any Rexx Program 'ON the FLY' (see www.KermitKiser.com *or* www.Rexx2Nrx.com to see, what Kermit is doing there) I'm copying here REXXLA as well, as Chip Davies, the former REXXLA Preseident, did a lot of assistance in the past years (years ago ...) As well as Mike F.Cowlishaw, who did answer any and all questions I did have when originally DESIGNING 'Rexx2Nrx', instantly, as it is his style.... But Mike is currently very busy with his DECIMAL Project, as all of you know .... Let's see whether we cannot form a group from these 2 communities ... Thomas Schneider (Tom.). Just my two cents, but why not use the free services provided by sites
hosting open source projects like SOURCEFORGE or Google Code?. That is a safe hosting solution (I don?t see either site going away in the foreseeable future). Hello Fernando & al,
I already DID open a Project named Rexx2Nrx on SourceFourge. What I'm seeking for are some individuals interested to support the various tasks involved for the open source release. Kind regards, Tom. ============================================================ Fernando Cassia schrieb: > Just my two cents, but why not use the free services provided by sites > hosting open source projects like SOURCEFORGE or Google Code?. > > That is a safe hosting solution (I don?t see either site going away in > the foreseeable future). > > FC > > On Mon, Jan 25, 2010 at 10:40 PM, Thomas Schneider <[hidden email] > <mailto:[hidden email]>> wrote: > > Hello Peter Rupp, & All there, > > frankly speaking *nobody* (except me) is *heading* the Rexx2Nrx > effort ... > > I did have very kind assistance from M.F.Cowlishaw and Rene > Vincent Jansen in the early stages > of the Rexx2Nrx project (back in 2003, as far as I can remember). > > And also got a *lot* of test-cases from the members of the REXXLA > group. > > What I'm seeking for is somebody to: > > .. act as a co-author > > .. interested to HELP > > ..... building up the necessary SVN repository, if we do decide > we do need that > ..... performing all of the TEST-cases. > ..... and helping to update the home-page www.Rexx2Nrx.com > <http://www.Rexx2Nrx.com> > ..... and BUILDING a GUI interface to Kermit Kiser's > NetRexxScript, so that > Rexx2Nrx can be invoked for any Rexx Program 'ON the FLY' > > (see www.KermitKiser.com <http://www.KermitKiser.com> *or* > www.Rexx2Nrx.com <http://www.Rexx2Nrx.com> to see, what Kermit is > doing there) > > I'm copying here REXXLA as well, as Chip Davies, the former REXXLA > Preseident, > did a lot of assistance in the past years (years ago ...) > > As well as Mike F.Cowlishaw, who did answer any and all questions > I did have when > originally DESIGNING 'Rexx2Nrx', instantly, as it is his style.... > But Mike is currently > very busy with his DECIMAL Project, as all of you know .... > > Let's see whether we cannot form a group from these 2 communities ... > > Thomas Schneider (Tom.). > > IT-Consulting > > www.d-123.com <http://www.d-123.com> > www.Rexx2Nrx.com <http://www.Rexx2Nrx.com> > ======================================================== > > > > Rupp Peter - prupp schrieb: > > What kind of assistance are you looking for? Sorry I can?t help with your code, but I will give the project all the advertising I can once it?s released. FC -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
