Hi, I'm currently looking at migrating from SystemOption usage in a NetBeans project. As described in the title, the application is being ported from NetBeans platform 5.5 to 6.8.

Is there an API for migrating existing SystemOption settings files to the new format? It seems that this page used to give an overview of how to do this http://wiki.netbeans.org/MigrationToPreferences. Unfortunately, the page is very old now and many of the links are broken.

Is there someone within the NetBeans development team that knows more about this and can point me at some relevant documentation that is still online?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Sadly, I'm also quite new to NetBeans and the project that's being migrated.
