Implementing Java Enumerations in NetRexx

ThSITC
For my current work, I do need an Implementation of Java ENUMERATIONS
as soon as possible. :-)

I do think, that I do now *know* where NetRexxC has to be modified.

I also DID enter some *proposed* implementation there at the issues &
developer's list
at KENAI.

For *Historical Reasons*, I did call this my entry *value-lists* (and
later: value range lists).

What I would need, immediately, to be able to proceed

    *is a CLEAR DECISION*

wether this feature is needed and/or wanted in the NetRexx Language.

WHEN this feature is needed and/or wanted, I would collect all my
proposals for that,
and write a formal *RFE* (Request for Enhancemnt) for this issue, aslo
accompanied
by a *trial implementation*

What do you think: Do wee need ENUMERATIONS (as, for instance:

       { one,two,three,four,five,six,seven,...}

I would, however, *suggest* that we *start to count with ONE (*NOT* ZERO),
in NetRexx ...

Sincereley,
Thomas.

PS: we could then, of course, use the ZERO value *of the implementation*,
as the default definition!!

What do you think?
Shall I go ahead to implement this?
