Hello there,
for my utility RexxForm, which I'm still working on, I'll need an
agreement
how DATES shall be represented (even at the start of a comment, which
usually might contain the HISTORY of modification).
Now, looking at a couple of Rexx/ooRexx/NetRexx sources, I do recognize,
that still a variation of Date Images are used:
yyyy-mm-dd (the ISO format)
yyyy.mm.dd (????)
mm/dd/yy
mm/dd/yyyy
dd/mm/yy
dd/mm/yy
As you see, the major conflict is between the US an UK representation
of Dates. As I cannot decide which notation (image) is used.
Can we agree, that using the ISO format (yyyy-mm-dd) would be
acceptable for all?
Or would you prefer to have an option -dateformat=image
(where image is one of the above).
Or do you have any brand good idea?
Thomas Schneider.
