Hello friends,
I did make a couple of historical *failures*. 1.) I did develop Rexx2Nrx on a CMS machine using IBM compiled Rexx, using a lot (really a *lot*) of /*%INCLUDEs */ 2.) I tried to get money out of Rexx2Nrx for a year --- no success 3.) I did decide to make Rexx2Nrx *free* 4) I did try to get money 5) I did write a COBOL (and later PL/I) Declaration Parser for my DB-123 product. 6.) DB-123 has been implemented, but *never sold* by my sales agents the past 5 years. Both for COBOL and PL/I :-) I did also make a couple of *good* decisions: 1.) I did meet Walter Pachl, Austria, thru Rony Flatscher, Austria. He did help a lot in implementing DB-123 for PL/I. Thanks, Walter. 2.) I did switch from Object Rexx version 1.00 to NetRexx ! *and then*, I did make a fault again: I did never have the time (*nor* the *money*) to properly release my Software. Now, I do have a question: Should I put: www.Rexx2Nrx.Rexx2RT.RexxFile, RexxDate, etc etc etc *to* www.netrexx.org (under the same name, and doc's) **OR** *to* www.thsitc.com *under the *new brand* ReyC ?? ReyC attempts to parse classic Rexx, ooRexx, and NetRexx, at once. Will anybody need this flexibilty ? Otherwhise I will stop this *needless effort*. Thomas Schneider. PS: Too much work for only convincing you, that we do need *one language dialect* only, and, when not, *cross translators*. The *cross translators* is my current job. Hi Tom,
please have them on www.netrexx.org - these are important alternative implementations, show the relationships between the languages in working code, and will people to allow to see their implementation. Maybe we will need another site for this, because there is not only a relationship to NetRexx. But we will worry about that later. best regards, René On Tue, Nov 9, 2010 at 8:17 PM, Thomas Schneider <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hello friends, > > I did make a couple of historical *failures*. > > 1.)
