Ok, you guys.
I've grabbed the attention of a developer at WingSoftware with the idea of
re-tooling their WingEditor for Java into WingEditor for NetRexx. He seems
very much sold on the idea, however marketing wants an idea WHO and HOWMANY
actually work with netrexx, before they can ok R&D on a new project.
So, nows the time to speak up, Boy and Girls. If you'd like a real, commercial
editor, for your favorite language NetRexx, written in Java so you can have that
famous "... run anywhere" feel... go and speak up for it!
Visit wingsoft.com (hmm... maybe www.wingsoft.com) and go to "feedback" and
let FRANK them know that you develope/tinker with java byte code via NetRexx.
That's all you have to do. While you're there, grab a copy of their WingEditor
and see what it looks like. Don't worry, WingEditor will run on your platform,
it's written in Java... But of course!
Mike, is it possible, at all possible, that you "name drop" a few of the big
users of NetRexx? That failing, how about Emailing some contacts at those
companies, so I can go ask personally?
I'd really like to see a "native" editor for NetRexx and WingSofts editor is
just the ticket. Well... I'd really like to see Dion's VisualNetRexx, but a
non-visual thingy is better than none at this point in time.
