NetRexx and Rexx2Nrx installation procedure.

Thomas.Schneider.Wien
Nowaday, there seem to be a couple of tools available to do all those
Installation
steps from an EXE file (in the Windows case).

Java Updates and Installations are, for instance, totally running
without any
manual interaction needed, and witz a nice GUI to see, what step is
currently running.

As I am seeking for a simplified Installation of Rexx2Nrx as well, does
anybody of you
know if there ARE some Java Classes and Methods available (*for free*,
please),
which can re-use to install 'Rexx2Nrx'  (and NetRexx, of course, as well)

???
Tom.

Thomas,

I'm aware of the existence of some open source pure java multiplatform
installers around.
I've never used one of these so can no offer advice but
java-source.net offers a
comprensive list with short descriptions and links at:

NetRexx and Rexx2Nrx installation procedure.

Thomas.Schneider.Wien
David,
thanks a lot for this hint.

I will read that thru, and when possible, use it for Rexx2Nrx
installation...

When thru, I will write a short README what has to be done to install
NetRexx by the same means.
As I am already including NetRexxC.jar  as Part of Rexx2Nrx, this should
help us all a lot
to not have the need for so monay installation Procedures to be done.

I will keep you informed which experiences I get.

Have a nice weekend.
Tom.
