Hi all,
did anybody do anything with SWT userinterfaces and NetRexx? I am using
NetBeans and Swing to paint and generate userinterface code for my
NetRexx applications, but it occurred to me that the Eclipse world (and
all IBM's internal tools labs) standardized on SWT. (SWT is AWT/Swing,
but all done with native Widgets, called using JNI).
It also occurred to me that a NetRexx mode for Eclipse coming out of
IBM would be a lot more probable to occur then a NetBeans mode for
NetRexx.
For those who have used SWT, is it faster? Is it easier? Are there less
thread issues to take into account? Is there NetRexx produced Java in
any Eclipse based IBM tool?
Are there any controls that are easier to use (TreeTable?) (Bonus
points for: does SWT work well on MacOSX?)
I would like to know before I try myself.
best regards,
Rene Vincent Jansen.
