NetRexx major references

ThSITC
Hello there,

for my upcoming speech at the IBM ISV (IBM Independent Vendor)
meeting here in Linz, Austria, at the 27.9.2011, 11:30-12:30,
I would need to compile a LIST of all major NetRexx *Usage References*
we can collect on this short notice, for *reference*.

I do know a very small bit about Rene's ABNAMRO Project, and my own work in NetRexx, and a very small bit about IBM'S Internal work there in Boeblingen, Germany.  to convert some internal IBM Systems from classic Rexx to NetRexx (on a UNIX System), years ago, with the help of my Rexx2Nrx, *but*:

I would like to compile a List of minor and major companies *using* NetRexx in the past decade, and some reasons:

   * why did you (they) choose NetRexx (instead of pure Java)
   * what have been their experiences
   * what the current status is
   * whether I may reference those Companies, Applications, and NetRexx
usage at my speech there on 27th September.

Also, it might be helpful to get a *rough* information how many subscribers the group ibm-netrexx does currently have. The last figure I do have in mind has been some 600 subscriber's of ibm-netrexx when I did first join this group (back in 2001, as far as I can remember) ...

Please let me know your thoughts,

Sincerely,
Thomas Schneider

CEO, ThSITC
Registered IBM ISV (IBM Independent Software Venrdor).

I will now look there... (*on REXXLA*).

But wouldn't it be the right time now to also copy them to www.netrexx.org,
*for ease of finding and reference*, and *more close relationship to NetRexx*

 ???

Thomas,

the official name is NetRexx, it stopped being IBM NetRexx.

My presentations, and those of Mike, are on the RexxLA website - feel free to borrow material.

best regards,

René Jansen.

Hello Rene,
I did now manage to become a speaker at the upcomiing Austrian IBM ISV meeeting in Linz, introducing NetRexx there, here in Austria.

IBM ISV is the IBM Independent Vendor Organization, newly established,
and where I am an official  member of with my company, ThSITC.

As you see, I am on a quite prominent place at the first Day 27th September, 11:30 - 12:30.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience, what, from you point of view, I should *mention*, and also, what I *should not* mention in this meeting...

I also would need to know wether the *official Language Name is now*

* IBM NetRexx

   *or*

* NetRexx

Please let me know your input, and all other's as well, ASAP, as I obviously will have to prepare all the Paper work to be done over the weekend!

Let me have your thoughts, please.

Also, when you do have patterns of your presentation's ready to be included in my own one (still to be developed), please send it to me (preferably in
Powerpoint Format, when possible.

Kind regards from Vienna,

Thomas Schneider.
