NetRexx on a zOS machine.

Thomas.Schneider.Wien
I do have a DB-123 prospect here in Vienna, Austria, where I would have
the need to
RUN my DB-123 Software (for PL/I)  on his IBM mainframe  (a zOS machine).

Now my questions:

1.) Is NetRexx still delivered as part of the standard IBM zOS Software  ?
2.) When  yes, where do I find it on his machine.
3.) Has anybody there at ibm-netrexx already has tried to use NetRexx in a
zOS Environment?

Any helps/hints will be appreciated.

kind regards from  Vienna, Austria

NetRexx on a zOS machine.

Hi Thomas,

afaik it was never part of any z/OS (nor OS/390 nor MVS) deliverable - it was delivered with z/VM.
A binary upload suffices; I have personally run it on z/OS.

best regards,

Ren? Jansen.

NetRexx on a zOS machine.

Hello Rene,
that are good and bad news at the *same time*.

Could you *please* put together in a small document (preferably a PDF)
what *is* needed to run
NetRexx on a zOS machine.

Either send it to me to [hidden email], or, preferably, to this group.
When this group does allow attachments....

Also, with Your permisssion, and when the Group agrees, I could the put
this document on my
www.Rexx2Nrx.com home-page and reference it for public download ...

Best greetings to Venetia, by the way.

Thomas Schneider.

NetRexx on a zOS machine.

Hello there, again,

by the way, Rexx2nrx.zip  on my home-page www.Rexx2Nrx.com does
(since my update in November 2009) already *INCLUDE* (after asking Mike,
If I am allowed to do that)  NetRexx (vs. 2.02) as part of the package.

Thus, ....

It might then even be possible to run Rexx2Nrx on a zOS machine....

I would be really interested to know what I have to do to TRY this.

At this, current, minute, unfortunatele, I do have *no access* to an IBM
mainframe...

But I would like to know whether we could handle this... And how.

Just a *to do list* would help at the current minute...

Thomas.
