I have deleted all traces of a prior netrexx and tried to install a fresh copy on an older desktop (XP SP3) using the notes labelled 'read.me.first' and dated: 1/14/2005 and have had no success in getting it installed. DO any of you know of a fresher set of instructions.
BTW, it installs and NetRexxDE runs on Two newer lap tops. HOORAY!!!! This has stymied an attempt by a 'for-profit' College to use NetRexx. I'll will certainly acknowledge and appreciate any help. Thanks for your Time and enjoy the Day or evening. You still have not posted the output from running the Java environment scanner on that system. Here is the link again: http://kenai.com/projects/netrexx-plus/downloads/download/Envirotest/envirotest.class Download the file to the problem system and run it with command: java envirotest That output may help resolve your problem. Please post it to the list. We cannot read minds. If you want help, you need to provide all the details of what you did and what exactly happened, including any error messages and the exact environment on that system. As long as you just say "It did not work", no one will be able to help you. -- Kermit On 9/25/2011 9:56 AM, Robert Hamilton wrote: I have deleted all traces of a prior netrexx and tried to install a fresh copy on an older desktop (XP SP3) using the notes labelled 'read.me.first' and dated: 1/14/2005 and have had no success in getting it installed. Hello Robert,
couldn't you *please* give *some more detailed* messages *what you are seeing* on your PC. A good way, for instance, would be to run Kermit's enviro.nrx at your machine, after compilation, and then execute: java enviro >BOBS_Enviro.log (which will save the output) the go to your editor, copy the content of 'BOBS_Enviro.log' as ussual, then write your mail (as you did) *but* including 'BOBS_Enviro.log' *by pasting it INTO your e-mail*. Then, all the experts around could help you! Otherwise, from your message (below) *nobody* does have *any idea* *** which problem you are fighting with *** We cannot read the heaven (and/or hell) ;-) Thomas Schneider. PS: Trust me: when you would follow this advise, you will get help (and resolution) of your problem(s) very fast. But we all will need *details* to be able to help you to resolve those issues (which are boring for you, I see!) ========================================================= ======================================================= Am 25.09.2011 18:56, schrieb Robert Hamilton: I have deleted all traces of a prior netrexx and tried to install a fresh copy on an older desktop (XP SP3) using the notes labelled 'read.me.first' and dated: 1/14/2005 and have had no success in getting it installed.
