NetRexxScript Plugin

ThSITC
Hi Kermit,

whil'st experimenting with jEdit and Googling for

jEdit Console plugin Documentation, and then printing out the jEdit
Console users guide,
I did find (by instance) the NetRexxScript Plugin help (Version 0.1.3
(November 30 2009),
printed it our, and read it thru ....

Did You ever announce the availability of NetRexxScript to the
ibm-netrexx Group ?

It sounds quite useful  :-)

The new jEdit NetRexx plugin replaced NetRexxScript a year and a half back. You commented on an announcement about it last month:

Re: [Ibm-netrexx] jEdit NetRexx Plugin 1.0.0 released on Plugin Central!

Hi Kermit,

just downloaded (via the Jedit Plugin Manager) Your NetRexx Plugin using the Plugin Manager and
did start some first tries:

1.) Great work, thank You a lot for all Your efforts :-)
2.) Am doing my first *observations*. Where shall I report those to:
      a) to You Personally only
      b) on Kenai ? When Yes, where?
      c) to ibm-Netrexx ?
      d) other places

Anyway, thanks again, and *Happy EASTER* to all in advance :-)

I finally got the help files mostly up to date and packaged the jEdit NetRexx Plugin for publication.

The jEdit project has accepted the plugin and published it on Plugin Central so that it can be installed via the jEdit Plugin Manager menu option. The obsolete plugins NetRexxJe and NetRexxScript have been removed from Plugin Central. NetRexxDE is also obsolete now although it never made it to Plugin Central.

Note that the new plugin is built with Java 6 and packaged with a snapshot of the NetRexx 3.03 development build so that it will work with Java versions 6, 7 and 8. If you are running an older version of the plugin (0.2.14 or earlier), delete NetRexxPlugin.jar and NetRexxC.jar from your jEdit jars directory before installing the new plugin. Possible locations are:

(Windows)
C:\Documents and Settings\useracct\AppData\Roaming\jEdit\jars
C:\Documents and Settings\useracct\.jedit\jars

(Linux)
/home/useracct/.jedit/jars

(Mac OS?)
I don't know.

Please notify me if you encounter any problems with this release!
