NetRexx is a general-purpose programming language inspired by
two very different programming languages, Rexx and Java™.

It is designed for people, not computers.

Most people get the Rexx part right off.

It is the Java or OO concepts that you have to find and understand.

NetRexxC.properties contains 408 messages when things go wrong.

java compilers can also produce some errors.

Give the new user the answer to those 400 messages.

This is the message.

You may have did this wrong.

NetRexx maybe does not do this in that way.

This is a good example of this concept explained.

Job for a few people creating a manual or volunteer effort placed on the wiki.

Media wiki could be scripted to build all 400 fill in the blank pages

It sure would beat searching the mailing list and the web.

Jason,

that is a very good idea. We should take care of making them not too
verbose. Or use the old TSO approach in which typing a ? after a message
was issued gives you more messages to explain the message. I agree that
we also could catch some runtime exceptions, specially if the problems
only need to be fixed once per installation.
