Rene, Thanks for incorporating the "--" comment feature into Pipes. Unfortunately, there was a regression along the line, and we are back to using ! as the default stage separator. [I am in the process of checking & updating the stage
tests.] I think I have identified a problem in TAKE LAST, and am

René, My mistake. I grabbed a 3.07-GA version. My apologies. (Maybe too much vacation for me.) There is a problem with the TAKE stage. With no arguments, it is
supposed to take the FIRST record, it is taking the LAST. Working

René. I am still working on TAKE. I now have it passing 16 separate tests for all its options. What is still missing is the secondary output for BYTES. I have to leave it now for a while.
