Dear All,
Well, it's done. I finally decided to fork NetRexxJe into a new project which will receive all further development on my part. As you know don't feel comfortable messing with a fellow programmer's project without his consent or even without his knowing. There shouldn't arise any legal issues either as NetRexxJe is GPL 2.0 licensed. I've spent the biggest part of a week setting up the project I opened for my NetRexx projects at Kenai.com a few months ago and it is now ready for prime time. Please visit http://netrexx-misc.kenai.com for anything NetRexxDE (NetRexx Development Environment) related. There you'll find release downloads, svn repository, documentation, dev roadmap, bug tracker, etc. Please, feel free to join the project at any time, you're most welcome. -- Saludos / Regards, David Requena -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... David ;
I just found some really bad news, especially considering the great work you did in the last week: Oracle has just completed purchase of SUN and one of the first things they are doing is to close the kenai.com site. It will be gone in 60 days. Is there another site that you can use? I know you don't like Sourceforge much. -- Kermit David Requena wrote: > Dear All, > > Well, it's done. Kermit,
Yes, I got both yours and official notice in my inbox this morning. Sadly Sun, a quite open source friendly company, felt in in the hands one of the most resilient to the open source wave companies in existence... Fortunately most of the content at http://netrexx-misc/kenai.com right now is static. It should be moveable with little effort. I already have some alternative candidates to project's new home. Just checking for best match feature wise. To be honest Sourceforge underwent a revamp recently and I haven't had the time to have an in-depth look at it. Maybe the site's usability received a vast improvement. Were that the case, I would also consider it. I'll keep the list updated on the project's final address. In the meantime it will remain hosted at its current place until further notice. Hi David; the site looks very nice and I appreciate your continuing support for the Netrexx jedit plugin. I looked the website and found that you also offer nrdoc091 for download. It's also the last version I found on the net, though I remember there has been als newer version (0.92 with support for minor classes?). But my question is if anyone can run nrdoc successfully? I tried a lot and the best result I get, is an empty packages.html for a given nrx file. Maybe I'm still doing something wrong, but I'm afraid nrdoc has suffered from bitrot... Any hints anyone? regards kp |
Dear KP,
Definitely there was once a 0.92 version http://web.archive.org/web/19991008090647/servicepac.mainz.ibm.de/nrxdoc/html/history.html To be honest it's been a while since I last used NrxDoc. It's just part of my little NetRexx utilities collection which I try to keep from totally disappearing into oblivion. I'll be surely adding some more to the site as I become reasonably sure it is legit to do so. NrxDoc generated javadoc 1.1 style docs so I don't think it ever supported inner classes nor other NetRexx 2.x features depending on a java2 jvm. That's what kept me from attempting an integration into NetRexxDE. I suppose at some point I'll try to adapt a current Sun's javadoc now that it's open sourced. Anyway, I'll try some old sources with nrxdoc style comments with current jvm/netrexxc and come back to you when I have a moment. 2010/2/3 KP Kirchdoerfer <[hidden email]> > Am Dienstag, 2. Just as a general FYI, it is very well possible to run javadoc with NetRexx.
I compile with -keep -comments -format, then rename *.java.keep to *.java and run the standard javadoc. The makefile takes care of this, so I can run 'make doc' with releases to produce package documentation. best regards, Ren?. Good to know Ren?.
It should be easy to take this approach with ant. OK, gets into my TODO list :-) Thanks for the pointer! 2010/2/4 Ren?
