here the info & news I did get from IBM at the 1th October IBM Business After Work Day
Annual meeting:

In summary, IBM did sell any&all Intel (x86) based Business to Lenovo, in a contract
already signed.

As a consequence, all former IBM-er's working in the IBM Server Business (based on Intel
Architecture) have been changed to be LENOVO-Employees, effective 1st January 2015, as
far as I do remember ;-)

As an implication, and what I'm seeing and observing from other contacts I do have,
namely XING and the various LinkedIn groups I'm a member of (for totally other reasons)
the implications (as I do expect them) are:

IBM shall concentrate on 2 major fields:

(a) Consulting Services, which are already more than 50 % of their income (at least here in Austria)
(b) The WATSON Engine  ... (The Super zOS Based so called *intellegent ROBOT* ... ;-) ;-) ;-))

Only Hope I didn't anybody interrupt and disturb !
