Michael,
No, the plugin is written in Java. Bootstraping into NetRexx is of course
a possibility for the next go-around. Once mixed NetRexx and Java projects
work well in Eclipse, that is a logical step.
I know what you mean about Java. I find that the OO approach of having a
zillion pieces which don't do much of anything themselves rather than an
algorithmic and procedural approach takes getting used to. (I'm an old dog
trying to learn the tricks :)
I also am looking for as much NetRexx code that I can find, but for a
different reason - I need to find all the places where the plugin reports
errors for valid NetRexx (and vice versa), and editing volumes of valid
NetRexx code is a time saver. Attempting to separate the difference
between the uber-dynamic NetRexx translator and the generally static
approach of a grammar based plugin is non-trivial.
No doubt there is a great deal of NetRexx code out there, but probably a
lot of it is not open source. Hopefully once the RexxLA and Kenai
repositories are working smoothly a lot of existing code can be
consolidated there.
