Re: [RexxLA] Rosettacode.org + Rey

ThSITC
Hello all there (on both lists, sorry for sending a mail to both lists now and then)

I'm watching (like a wall dog) the activities of any and all of you (electronically only) since years.
I'm your GOOD Big Brother (introduced 1984, I think)
I'm 1,96 meters tall, with a current weight of 76 KiloGramms (cannot instantly recalculate that in feet, and pounds :-( )

What do you think about the following idea (from my side: very OLD)

Let us ---with joint effort --

****************************************************************************
* INTRODUCE a NEW Language, called Rey, for instance             *
*    which does combines all he goodies                           *
* and will get RID of the baddies, caused by HISTORY    *
****************************************************************************

as a common, JOINT effort.

I will supply:

RexxForm  (tm) : The Rexx Formatter
Rexx2Nrx   (tm) : New version, in pure Netrexx
ReyC  (tm)         : the so long promised my own Netrexx Compiler, with new option -Rey
: to activate the additional  Language features (with new verbs)
Rey (tm)             : The Spec and implementation of the same *new* language, as an INTERPRETER

*and*

the whole source code, copyright proected, on our own SVN server here in Vienna, Austria,
with our ow fair share licence model.

Don't say anymore: it's unfeasable.

I'm on..the way to prove,*that it is feasable*

Kind greetings from lucky Vienna!

think, discuss, whatever you like, ...

open this url: rosettacode.org
Then click on Languages and/or Tasks
The Netrexx zip has the Netrexx solutions
RexxLA COULD refer to it (if the solutions were tested) as it currently lacks examples

There might be more interest if we knew what it was.  I remember ACM’s Operation Rosetta Stone and its code-off (their term) back in the ‘70s, but that sort of died with the award of doctorates to certain individuals.  What is Rosettacode?

Zero interest (except for Tom's usual Netrexx-plug which is sort of unrelated)????

:-(
