ReyC compiler plugin for NetBeans

Thomas.Schneider.Wien
For your info.

After the upcoming Rey Compiler release (scheduled for 1.2.2011),
I will start working on a NetBeans plugin to make Rexx/ooRexx/NetRexx syntax highlighting in NetBeans, and invoking my Rey Compiler as well when wanted. The Rey Compiler release will also include the brand new ReyForm, a generalized Program Formatter (all Rexx dialects, COBOL, and PL/I)
and .ReyCMS, a RexxCPS for all Rexx dialects.

I'm still seeking for volunteers, if any, to help with the HTML documentation.

When interested to help with the QA tests or the doc, please do not hesitate
to send me a mail.

Kind regards,
Thomas Schneider.

Hello there,

I am the author of ReyC, the Rey Compiler.

ReyC compiles any Rexx code (classic Rexx, IBM compiled Rexx, Open Object Rexx, Regina, NetRexx) to Java classes.

I would now, after the official release of ReyC, which is scheduled for 1.2.2011, want to write a NetBeans PLUGIN invoking this compiler and the ReyC Parser to make a proper syntax highlighting for the NetBeans Platform.

Can someone who has already made such a plugin for other languages give me advise and/or sample code (any language), and also a hint which documentations I would have to read to complete this task in the next 3 months, please.

RE: [RexxLA] ReyC compiler plugin for NetBeans

Thomas.Schneider.Wien
I simply wanted to notify you that I'm working at a NetRexx plugin for
NetBeans. What is so *bad* with this,my, approach to keep you informed?

I did subscribe the NetBeans-dev group half a year ago to learn how to
do this...

Amen.
Thomas.

Nothing bad Thomas. In fact, it´s interesting. (but NO I do not have
spare time to help with your debugging). So when it´s "done", let me
know.

What upsets some people is, I think, the "salesman" tone of your first
paragraph or two. :)
