Hello there (especially Rene),
I just validated on DZONE, a general Javalobby portal, due to some reference at NetBeans platfrom-dev group. I just saw, that for instance Python, NoSQL, etc do have great sub-portals there. Rene, would you get in contact with DZONE to open a NetRexx Portal there? Or what plans do you have for the upcoming future to spread the public recognition of NetRexx? Since I posted a query regarding NetRexx on their "Top JVM Language" poll I have received an invitation to produce an article, or a series of articles, on NetRexx for publication in the DZone "magazine." I bet Mitch, John, James and the guys at [hidden email] would be delighted to hear about what you're up to. Also, if any of you are blogging regularly about the subject, then you should ask about becoming a DZone MVB. It can bring a lot more attention to what you write. And: I hear you really like the JVM language NetRexx! Any interest in writing an article or two explaining why it's so awesome, maybe expanding your 'Java-ier than Groovy' remark? We're always looking to expand our audience's knowledge, and would be happy to take a look and post&promote on DZone, if the article/series looks good. John Esposito Content Curator, DZone

I replied with a somewhat halting acceptance (and with gratitude for the invitation), but I doubt very much that I am qualified to present NetRexx to the public: other than a few scientific papers (dry and dusty stuff! long ago and far away!) I've never written any populist material, and certainly not with rather widespread distribution. Is the Chairperson of NetRexx Marketing prepared to accept this challenge, personally or on behalf of the NetRexx Marketing Department? It is undeniably the opportunity to give NetRexx some sorely needed widespread exposure ... particularly among the Java community where it might do the most good. Any takers? (If not, I suppose I can plagiarize Mike's work as well as the next guy -- without taking credit for it, of course. Hmm, I guess that would be 'attribution' and not 'plagiarism' ... but it amounts to the same thing. Could your effort be run by the group for comments/suggestions before submission to DZONE? We want to put our best foot forward, and some serious consideration of 'messaging' could advance that.
