Hello Gents,
you know (or don't know) me. I'm said to be very frank with my
questions, and sometimes too direct, and also sometimes responding to a
private message
by a cc: to the audience involved.... But I did learn my lesson (from
bad experiences) ....
I do know personally Rene since years, and since the first day we met he
was working to get *NetRexx* **open source**.
He probably is one of the few persons who do know the impact of *open
source*, as maybe David Ashley and Rick Mc Guirre do know as well.
Frankly speaking, the development of ooRexx has been far quicker as
at the times *after the first REXXLA meeting* I did attend (presenting
my Rexx2Nrx at those times, cannot recall the year), and after the
closure of the Object Rexx
development branch of IBM in Boeblingen, Germany....
It's not that they didn't there best. They did their best. I would
have to look on
my hand-written notes of this REXXLA meeting, but all of those IBM employees
have been always very responsive and gentle.
Now, my personal feeling is, that this discussion is detoriating:
Please, stop that!
I will *not* append a *anything* to this note. I am NOT an ex-IBM employee.
I did work for General Electric Information Services (GEISCO), where we
did learn to be homan and responsive to customer needs -- as IBM
ep,oyees (or Oracle employees) do learn, hopefully, those days. I'm
praying :-)
NetRexx is in my eyes the most easy to learn and comprehensive language
currently available. As Rexx was, some 25 years ago.
Times have changed, my dear friends....
Let's stop needless fights, and *Unterstellungen*. You will have to take an
english/german Dictionary to get the english meaning of *Unterstellungen*.
I didn't find it quickly enough .....
