Long, long time ago ...
.... long time after the INVENTION of classic Rexx (invented by M.F.
Cowlishaw, You all know),
some major IBM clients did want to have an *IBM Rexx Compiler* (sic!).
IBM, those days, decided to outsource that development to a thought-ful
Israelic Company ...
... (can't recall the name) ... BUT:
The Testing of this those times necessary IBM REXX Compiler has been
devoted to
the those times well known:
IBM Vienniese Labarotories (headed by Prof. ZEMANEK, the inventor
of MaiLüfterl, as well),
here in Vienna, Austria ....
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
+ *AND* : most important (from the HISTORIC Viewpoint of
Rexx) +
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mr. Walter Pachl, at those times, has been working at the Vienniese IBM
Laboratories
and has been the *REAL HEAD* of those Testing the IBM Rexx Compiler
Universe !
Since then, I think he is well known to any and all Rexx Lovers as one
of the most
thoroughful people I, at least, ever personally met!
Now, as I do know his Wife Christel also since Years, I have been always
wondering,
how SHE could live with him (always too much and many times interested in
his computer job) ???
Answer is very simple:
They did fell into Love, some 50 Years ago
*and*
The did STICK together, in any amnd all case(s)
Thus, I think it's time to say : Thank You, Mrs. Christel Pachl, for
having the
IBM Rexx COMPILER beeing CREATED!
