By default, all operations in NetRexx are done using decimal
arithmetic, resulting in a string. You could either use binary
arithmetic (keyword on the class or method), or cast (convert) the
result:
foo=Math.abs(double a+1)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
