jEdit: New trail w/ some back-ground on the deal

Robert L Hamilton
A local, but prolific little public college is interested in REXX classes.  We started with AS400 and MVS boxes 'cause I could get remote access to those OS's.  I pointed out the REXX's in other venues, e.g. ooREXXTRY in 4.0 and this is being used. I demo-ed for the Provost, the possibility of doing JAVA with NetREXX and they were intrigued w/ the possibilities. Now, a well known private University as well as two for-profit Universities are interested. I need to develop these venues to supplement my retirement fund's shortfall as well as spread REXX around academia.  For Demo purposes, I bought a DELL laptop and with y'all's help got Object REXX 2.1 running on it and have on a desktop both 2.1 and ooREXX 4.0 running. Amidst the palaver over these deals, it was suggested that jEdit could be used as a NetRexx.TRY thing. So now you know the entire Story of how I got to where I am and I sincerely appreciate the help I've gotten along the trail.

The first problem I have is How to start jEdit. I have to re-install it to start it.which is counter-productive.

Thanks for listening and Enjoy the Day and the Fourth.

Bobh
