netrexx-misc at kenai.com

David Requena
Hi All,

For anyone interested Oracle confirmed a couple days ago their plans
for kenai.com. In short:

- They're moving java.net to kenai infrastructure right now.
- Once finished current kenai.com projects will be moved to java.net.

So at the end of the day they're doing for me the work of moving the
project to a new home. One with the same infrastructure I've come
to love :-)

At some point urls will need to change from www.kenai.com/netrexx-misc
to www.java.net/netrexx-misc, that's all.

Yeah, it's a weird move. They're bringing lots of non java projects to
java.net. They're bypassing java.net's policy of request/approval for
project hosting. They're forcing a new infrastructure down the necks of
current java.net hosted projects administrators. All in all, java.net, the
site not to be closed down seems to be the big loser...

netrexx-misc will stay at kenai for the time being and most surely
go to java.net if Oracle does not change its mind. Were that the
case, it would move elsewhere. It's just wiki content, files and a svn
repo. Definitely it's not going to Source Forge.

Saludos / Kind regards.

Hi David,
   that are really good news.

By the Way, ReyC (my Rey Compiler) has been designed to Compile IBM PL/I
or COBOL to
Java as well....

And, I do think, that using Oracle as a marketing machine is much better
than using SOURCEFORGE.

Hence, after reading all the traffic, I did decide to put my source to
KENAI (when tests are completed.)
