www.netrexx.org change

rvjansen
In anticipation of an adsl provider change (isp stays the same), the first one in a long time, I have moved the www.netrexx.org IP address to the Amazon instance that it is running on. At the same time, I made a change that stops the graphics for the site from pre-loading before the site shows. Both changes should result in more speed for you. At the moment, the cost is redundancy, and the little problems that always creep up with changes like these. The latter, please let me know so I can remedy.

This is done to reduce cost and improve quality, and to simplify the network setup in order to disentangle personal and RexxLA resources. For those that use netrexx.org subversion repositories, there will be separate emails. The svn.netrexx.org address should be correctly referring to svn.kenai.org again, but there is no guarantee for that to stay correct, as I am not informed about change over there.

Please let me know of any ill effects of this change.

best regards,

René Jansen.

Looks good to me -- seems faster, and also can read the text in the box at the
bottom of the screen without fiddling with the contrast control!

A couple of nit-picks on the site:

1) The 3.01 download link still points to RC2 it seems.

2) The example on the main examples page incorrectly shows this command:
"nrc -run date" rather than "nrc -run hello".

I will contribute with my own nitpicking...
on the download page there´s an IBM logo, which is sadly white on a
(slightly darker) white page background. it looks ugly.

Hi Fernando,

I agree, but I cannot use the real logo due to the logo usage rules. In a review, I'll probably leave it out.

best regards,

René.

Hi Kermit,

I corrected that. It was only the link on the picture and not the link on the text, but it was still wrong.
The example seems correct if I loo at it, but it will go in its entirety because I am going to make room for some pointers to rosettacode.org

Thanks for noticing the incorrect link.

best regards,

René.

René --

Good catch on the picture link. I didn't spot the difference.

Re the example, I just thought it might confuse beginners to show a
listing and compile/run output for program "hello.nrx" along with the
command to compile/run program "date.nrx" but if you are removing it,
don't worry about it.
