Netrexx and Eclipse

Parts of my Eclipse NetRexx plugin were running, but I stopped work on it
some time ago because I needed the NetRexx source to resolve some problems.

I'll revisit the plugin project when the NetRexx source is available.  It's
currently a low priority since NetBeans and Jedit appear to be more popular
frameworks.  

This IBM web page says the open source release to RexxLA will be "later in
2010", so I assume NetRexx source access still could be up to 8 (or more)
months away.

As far as I can tell, neither IBM nor RexxLA has actually committed to a
date.  Frankly, "I'll believe it when I see it".

I wouldn't say so. jEdit is just an editor on steroids and current tools
on it are targeted
to simple projects. As for Eclipse, well, I personally prefer Netbeans
but I've seen much
more Eclipse use on shops I've worked at.

What are the problems you encountered? Perhaps someone on the list knows
the answers, especially Mike and René who have already seen the source.

It is also possible that NetBeans and jEdit are more popular simply
because Eclipse does not support NetRexx at all currently.

Frankly, I feel the same way about NetRexx and Eclipse that you do about
open source NetRexx.

Not that I know either. It could well be MY mistake ;-)

Anyway, as more NetRexx supporting tools we have, better chances for the language truly resurrecting :-)
