Hello there, at REXXLA and/or ibm-netrexx,
Please *do consider* to make your very valuable *LISTS* *Open community* :-) This would allow *all* interested people, to *subscribe* those two valuabe Lists ... Like the Java Community does ir with [NBDEV], the NetBeans development group ..... This will imply, that everybody can get, very quickly, *access* to those development groups, namely Classic Reyy, Open Object Rexx, and NetRexs *instantly*, without any *need* *to subscribe* something .... This will also *spread* (I'm sure) the reognition of *REXX* (any dialects) *very fast* thru the Internet! This raises an interesting question: Why hasn't Rexx spread further, faster??????
Large, affluent universities such as Southern Methodist here in Dallas do not deal with it. One smaller University has dealt with it on Mainframes but did not know about REXX in other venues. Why is that? Maybe Thomas has raised a pertinent, and somewhat puzzling question in a backhanded way. ????????????? I am not sure what you want from the ibm-netrexx list. There are no limitations to who can subscribe to the list. Ian Sirling IBM Hursley |
The only closed list I know of is the RexxLA list, which is a benefit
of membership in RexxLA. Every other Rexx list I'm aware of is open. Possible exception are lists associated with committers on a project. I'm glad that the RexxLA list is closed and available to RexxLA members only. Truth be told, it is why I keep my membership current.
