Rene,
This update site contains the latest version (2.0.0, alpha). https://sourceforge.net/projects/eclipsenetrexx/files/update/ I use Windows, so no Mac or Linux testing yet but I don't expect difficulties. The install and "hello world" are OK on Eclipse 3.4.2, 3.6.2 and 3.7.0. It should work with the last 8 versions (2009). (I'll check, given time, but certainly there are bugs to fix first). Java 1.6 is required, but I assume that by now (almost 5 years after it's first release) most people are using it. I'll update the included NetRexx (vanilla 3.00) as soon as the new jar is available. You said you were waiting for the plugin - hope it helps somehow. Hi;
I've installed eclipse (3.5) the first time ever and with a little work I was able to update/install your plugin via eclipse routines.
I'm surprised by the speed of eclipse (VisualAge (predecessor of eclipse) was painfully slow ten years ago, but then I also had a much slower computer).
I've been able to compile a simple "hello world" and to run/interpret as well.
To get it right:
1) Run (Interpret) NetRexx - compiles and run? But does not save the class file? 2) To compile to a class file it is necessary to run "Compile NetRexx to java class"? 3) Your plugin is bound to the *.nrx file extension?
