The 1.6 requirement is more from Eclipse than from my work. If you have
problems let me know - I can generate and send you an update. Any feedback (positive or negative) and wish-list items will be appreciated. Hello Bill,
*first of all*: May thanks for your work to integrate NetRexx into ECLIPSE! *second*: Whil'st I do have ECLIPSE installed most probably on one of my computer's, I did nevertheless (due to lack of time, *not* due to lack of interest) never try it. Can you give me please (and us all) a short URL where we can read more about the *most recent version* of ECLIPSE, please. Also, is this ECLIPSE project still maintained, and, when yes, by whom? Thank you very much in advance, *and* please keep up your excellent work... :-) Thomas Schneider. ========================================================== Am 05.09.2011 20:31, schrieb [hidden email]: > The 1.6 requirement is more from Eclipse than from my work. Thomas,
Eclipse is quite a Big Deal - go to eclipse.org to check it out. Many $M have been spent by IBM (originally) and many other major and minor companies. Eclipse is now owned by the Eclipse Foundation - there have been 3 scheduled major releases each year for some time now. Check wikipedia for the eclipse release history. Eclipse Market Place (formerly plugin central) has over 1000 free or commercial plugin packages. As I said, a very big deal, with many thousand users and developers. Hello Bill,
thanks for you clarifications. Will look at the details when time allows. I'm currently, however, busy with other things, and currently very satisfied with JEdit + NetRexxDE. But I do personally think that your plugin for Eclipse will be very interesting to a lot of Eclipse users. Kind regards, Thomas. ========================================================== Am 06.09.2011 19:47, schrieb [hidden email]: > Thomas, > > Eclipse is quite a Big Deal - go to eclipse.org to check it out. JEdit + NetRexxDE is a fine solution for many.
I've noticed that many people would rather give up their Religion than switch editors or programming environments - I'm not out to convert people. As the saying goes, "Take what you like and leave the rest...." ------------------ Original Message: From: Thomas Schneider [hidden email] Date: Tue, 06 Sep 2011 22:15:41 +0200 To: [hidden email], [hidden email] Subject: Re: [Ibm-netrexx] eclipse plugin Hello Bill, thanks for you clarifications. Hi Bill,
*we all here* (I assume) *do like* NetRexx! I will held a 1 Day IBM NetRexx Training course for *big IBM Customers* here in Vienna, very soon. One PS: IBM currently is so heavily promoting it's own Rational Rose EGL (The IBM Enterprise Generation Language) .... ... that they forgot about NetRexx (which is far superiour, IMHO!) Anyway, Let us all together keep the IBM NetRexx train rolling ... Kind regards from currently dark Vienna. I'll have to go for a'sleep now.... CU! Thomas. ======================================================== Am 06.09.2011 23:00, schrieb [hidden email]: > JEdit + NetRexxDE is a fine solution for many. > > I've noticed that many people would rather give up their Religion than > switch editors or programming environments - I'm not out to convert people. > As the saying goes, "Take what you like and leave the rest...." > > ------------------ > Original Message: > From: Thomas Schneider [hidden email] > Date: Tue, 06 Sep 2011 22:15:41 +0200 > To: [hidden email], [hidden email] > Subject: Re: [Ibm-netrexx] eclipse plugin > > > Hello Bill, > thanks for you clarifications. > > Will look at the details when time allows. > > I'm currently, however, busy with other things, and currently very > satisfied with JEdit + NetRexxDE. > > But I do personally think that your plugin for Eclipse will be very > interesting > to a lot of Eclipse users. > > Kind regards, > Thomas. > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > mail2web LIVE – Free email based on Microsoft® Exchange technology - > http://link.mail2web.com/LIVE > > > -- Thomas Schneider (www.thsitc.com) _______________________________________________ Ibm-netrexx mailing list [hidden email] Online Archive : http://ibm-netrexx.215625.n3.nabble.com/
