netrexx.org dns provider change

rvjansen
While already in the pipeline for some months, this change has now been effectuated. Please stand by while we re-add its hosting records to the new provider's DNS.

Summary: netrexx.org does not work at the moment. We are working on it, and hoping to resolve this somewhere tonight.

best regards,

René Jansen.

CAS Authentication Handler in NetRexx?

Stephen Y Odo
In reply to this post by rvjansen
Hi,

Just wondering: does anyone have experience writing a CAS
(www.jasig.org/cas) Authentication Handler in NetREXX?

I have no experience with Java, or Maven, or Eclipse (our developers use
Eclipse so I will need to also) ... but we were having a discussion in
one of our project meetings and I basically asked "why don't we write
our own Authentication Handler?" ... and then I found out that, with
this group, whoever voices it gets stuck with the project (now I know
why nobody asked that question before -- that'll teach the dumb systems
guy [me] to ask such questions). So now I need to look into writing one
of these things.

Since I know REXX (not NetREXX) ... I figured I would have a better
chance of success using that than trying to learn Java, right? Anyway,
if anyone can provide pointers, I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks.

I certainly can't help you, but someone is bound to tell you to study up on BSF4ooRexx and it might as well be me 😊

The BeanShell Framework exposes all of Java to ooRexx, making it all look like Rexx to you, which simplifies everything (to an extent).

Head on over to the link you sent and dive down into the Developers and Client links there.

Good luck!

Tom
